As we approach the start of the 2000 season at Thorpe Park, Tidal Wave, the OD Hopkins ‘Shoot the Chute’ water ride is undergoing final preparations before opening on 7th April.
The new attraction is the first major investment that the Tussauds Group have made in the park since its acquisition in 1998.
Tidal Wave features three 20 seater boats that will traverse an 85ft lift hill and drop, with riders plunging into a lagoon, hitting the splash pool below where a giant wave is created over 60ft high. Riders and bystanders will be soaked alike.
