Whilst the final events of the 2016 season may be well underway at Legoland Windsor Resort, preparations have already started for the 2017 season with the start of construction on the Resort’s new area, Ninjago World, as well as further progress on the Castle Hotel. Attraction Source paid a visit to look at the latest updates on the Resort’s 2017 additions.

With the closure of Loki’s Labyrinth and Longboat Invader construction has now commenced on what will be one of the Resort’s largest new additions in recent years. Groundwork for the building which will house the new Ninjago Masterclass dark ride is steadily progressing with what appear to be the concrete foundations for the outline of the building already complete, as well as the first supports for the external walls starting to be put into place. Around the construction site banners advertising the new area have been put in place whilst to the far end of the site a storage area for construction materials has been created.

Over on the site of the new Castle Hotel the Resort’s newest accommodation has been steadily progressing with vertical construction now in full swing. The outline of the main building is now clearly evident with steel bars forming the start of the skeleton of the building. Scaffolding has been erected around the edges of the site in order to support the installation of further beams as construction continues to progress.
