It is now confirmed that Samurai from Chessington will keep the same name at Thorpe. It will bring more variation to the Lost City, that’s for sure.

Fright Nights 2003 was once again a successful event.  Both mazes were improved upon for this year, especially the Freezer – has new theming and is now a full walk-through instead of a lower capacity maze. Pirates 4D was transformed in to ‘Ultimate Horror Movie Bites’, pictured. Did not seem too popular though.

Security this year was a major issue. Many fights and other incidents broke out over the event period, with a very intimidating atmosphere at times around the park. Something to improve upon next year?

Overall the park turned a massive profit, reaching capacity a few nights. With the longer opening hours, there was sufficient time to get night rides in seeing as the park was open until 11pm. Until next year!
