October bought the sixth annual Thorpe Park Fright Nights. Since our last update in 2004, much has changed. Returning mazes are Asylum; a hospital from hell, the gothic Hellgate, and with its second year of deadly sins; Se7en.
With the event now spanning a whole month, there is plenty of time to make use of the added attractions. Circus of horrors also returned in the Pirates 4D theatre. With only a small budget for park theming, the staff did a great job this year, with the majority of rides decorated.
The Canada Creek Railway was transformed, trialling actors along the course for a possible future spooky attraction in its self. Once again the only fault of this year’s event is ride reliability, but in all other aspects the park has excelled, setting a benchmark for other UK parks to follow.
Lake infilling has continued with lots of progress since the 22nd May update.
