Thorpe Park opened yesterday once again for the second annual half term event; Ultimate Thrill Chill. With beautiful, but cold weather, the park had good attendance. Many improvements were to be seen, such as a clean Colossus cobra roll pit, repainted Tidal Wave pool, new bins and progress on the 2009 coaster site. Good to see a new engineering workshop being constructed on the peninsula, which should improve the infrastructure of the park. With one train operation on all three major coasters, queues of up to 90 minutes formed for each. The event was an improvement on last year in terms of cleanliness and ride availability, but there’s still work to be done to ensure maximum guest satisfaction.
