Chessington World of Adventures Resort have applied for planning permission for a single storey extension to their Fresh Fish and Chips Restaurant.
Located in Pirate’s Cove, the proposed extension to the Fish and Chips restaurant will see the creation of a new, indoor dining area to the front of the current building, providing much needed additional indoor dining space for guests (approximately 67sqm). Once completed, guests will be able to choose between eating in in the new dining area or purchasing a meal from a single, takeaway window located on the front of the building. The extension will retain the existing theming of the current building, with the new additions constructed using the same materials. It will also feature a flat roof, with a canopy on all sides. Entrance to the extended restaurant will be via three double doors on the front of the restaurant.
It would appear that work has already begun in preparation for the extension to the restaurant with Fish and Chips currently closed to guests and construction underway inside the building. It is anticipated that the new extension could be open in time for the peak summer season with the park’s website stating that the outlet will be ‘re-opening summer 2015’. The extension will be a welcome addition to the park, creating additional capacity for the busy food and beverage facilities.
