The London Resort have announced that they have agreed a new, landmark partnership with Radisson Hotel Group.
In a new partnership, Radisson Hotel Group, one of the world’s leading hotel companies, will become a stakeholder in the London Resort project and open a Radisson Blu hotel, one of Europe’s leading upscale hotel brands, at the proposed 535 acre resort planned for the Swanscombe Peninsula in Kent.
Whilst precise details of the hotel will not be confirmed until a much later stage, comments from PY Gerbeau, Chief Executive of London Resort Company Holdings (LRCH), suggests that the hotel will include some form of themed experiences with him saying “Radisson Hotel Group will be bringing films and characters to life in what will be an unforgettable hotel experience and will complement the incredible experiences and attractions Paramount Studios will also be bringing to the resort.”
Speaking about the new partnership, Elie Younes, Executive Vice President & Chief Development Officer, Radisson Hotel Group, said:
“We are delighted to be part of such an iconic and unique project that is breaking new ground and bringing together an exciting mix of global brands. We strive to create memorable experiences for our guests, and this is the perfect opportunity to do just that.”
PY Gerbeau, added:
“Radisson Hotel Group’s commitment to the resort represents a significant milestone and is testimony to the absolute conviction the team has to deliver this project. We are thrilled they have bought into our vision to create a totally unique entertainment destination and can’t wait to work with their team.
“Radisson Hotel Group will be bringing films and characters to life in what will be an unforgettable hotel experience and will complement the incredible experiences and attractions Paramount Studios will also be bringing to the resort.”
This latest announcement follows the news in June that a new partnership had been agreed with Paramount Pictures Corporation, an agreement which would allow a range of popular Hollywood IPs to feature within the £3.5 billion development. The current planned timeline for the project anticipates a planning application will be submitted by the end of March 2020, with a proposed opening date of 2024.
